The European Union Agency for Railways (ERA) and ENISA are pleased to announce the fourth edition of the Cybersecurity in Railways conference, the annual event dedicated to exploring the latest advancements, best practices, and challenges in the field of cybersecurity in the railway sector.
The 2024 edition, which will take place in Lille, France, on 2-3 October, will continue the close collaboration between both agencies. Additional workshops will be held on the first morning of the conference.
The topics of this joint event, strongly supported by the European Commission, will cover:
- A specific focus on the implementation of the NIS2 Directive: Member States' approaches, standards, and solutions supporting NIS2 requirements;
- Presentation of the threat landscape for railway cybersecurity (Member State & ENISA);
- A theme session on railway vehicles: authority inspection, testing weaknesses, and security for legacy trains;
- An emphasis on training needs and possibilities;
The conference will continue to provide networking opportunities, aiming to build a railway cybersecurity community. Speakers and participants will share information on the latest developments and raise awareness among railway stakeholders about the cyber threat landscape.
